Taiwan Missionary Fellowship (TMF) has changed a lot over the years. One of the services that was offered was a quarterly magazine for missionaries. The magazines were used to help missionaries better reach Taiwan, learn about resources, and even offered western recipes based on ingredients you could find around the island.
Started in 1991 and lasting through 2006, TMQ was a quarterly magazine for missionaries living in Taiwan. The magazine was started by Mr. Sheldon Sawatzky, to help missionaries learn better how to reach Taiwanese for the gospel and how to find comforts in a foreign land.
Nowadays with the convenience of the internet and the mass foreign import market, the need for such a magazine has died. But it will live on as a key part of Taiwan’s missions history. Scroll through the archive below to relive what it was like for missionaries in those years.
